“All is Calm…feeds our need for heroes, gives space to our dreams for human nobility, allows us to approach the enigma of Christmas and puzzle over the miracle that has stopped enemies from killing each other for one day…[It] reinvests the words ‘Peace on Earth’ with their true meaning.”

On Christmas Day on the Western Front, a German soldier stepped into No Man’s Land singing “Stille Nacht,” thus beginning an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music, and peace.
Just in time to commemorate the 100th anniversary of US involvement in WW1, Orange City Arts is ringing in the holiday season on November 24 with Theatre Latte Da’s All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 — a musical theatre retelling of this remarkable true story, told in the words of the men who lived it, and accompanied by the timeless and transcendent music of the season.
With the generous support of The Gilchrist Foundation, Orange City Arts is able to offer half price tickets to veterans and their spouses, making the evening not only a tremendous celebration of the peace of Christmas, but also a night to honor those who have sacrificed to bring that peace home to us.
When: Friday, November 24, 2017 @ 7:30pm
Where: Unity Christian Knight Center
Tickets: $20 adults, $15 students, $10 veterans & their spouses
This event is supported, in part, by the generous support of The Gilchrist Foundation.
