Level: Advanced beginner/Intermediate: Students should have some experience painting with watercolor.
Objective: Students will build on their watercolor skills and gain confidence by creating a simple landscape painting.
Cost: $65.00 – Includes some paper samples, use of paints and masking fluid.
Dive into the beautiful, flowing medium of watercolor as we create a rural landscape. Judy will help you develop a working knowledge of watercolor fundamentals as we explore the elements to a successful composition. Understand how to build color depth through washes and glazing, color mixing and how different papers, pigments and brushes will produce different results. We will also explore the use of wax, tape and masking fluid to create beautiful textures and layers of color within our landscape paintings. All techniques will be demonstrated, with individual guided instruction.

Arches Watercolor Paper (140# cold press)
Brushes (flat and round)
Container for water
Drawing Board (to use as backing for watercolor paper)
