Gilchrist Foundation Partners with Orange City Arts

The Gilchrist Foundation is providing $10,150 of support toward our 2018-19 World Tour Season! We are so thankful to partner with wonderful organizations that are doing great work in our area.

The project we are partnering on is bringing the Formosa Singers of Taiwan to do some outreach here in Orange City. They’ll be meeting and singing with area student choirs, giving a short presentation at a local church, and spending time in our community sharing their culture before their public performance on Monday, September 10. Thank You, Iowa Arts Council!

Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Cultural Trust, has recently awarded Orange City Arts $7,100 in support toward our 2018-19 World Tour Season! Thank you, Iowa Arts Council!

The Art Project Grant will go toward funding a visit from Nobuntu, a female a cappella ensemble from Zimbabwe. Nobuntu’s music embraces humility, love, unity and family from a woman’s perspective. The ensemble represents a new generation of young African women singers who celebrate and preserve their culture, beauty, and heritage through art.

Nobuntu believes that music can be an important vehicle for change, one that transcends racial, tribal, religious, gender, and economic boundaries. We’re excited to join them on that journey this October 10th!
