Onstage Orange City presents OC Area Community Band

ORANGE CITY – The clarinets will be the centerpiece at the Orange City Area Community Band concert Wednesday, July 10. Pie in the Face Polka by Vinson will feature the band’s top-notch clarinet section.

The band will do a medley of polkas too, called Big Band Polka… which includes Pennsylvania Polka, My Melody of Love and Beer Barrel Polka. 

The concert, featuring adult and student musicians from the area, will be held in Windmill Park at 7:00 pm, part of the Onstage Orange City series.

Director Carla Van Beek has a fun evening planned, including Music from Glee, like Don’t Stop Believin’, Alone, Sweet Caroline and You Keep Me Hanging’ On. The band will also play El Capitan by Sousa, Whither Must I Wander? by Vaughan Williams and A Day at Disneyland.

This free concert is sponsored by the Orange City Arts Council and City of Orange City.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Concessions will be available. Rain location is the Orange City town hall.
