Kelsey Klingensmith has performed traditional, modern & original country music with her acoustic guitar, her lovely 11-year-old voice, and a back-up band… across the Midwest. In November she was featured in the Sioux City Orpheum’s Holiday Spectacular.

June 16 – South Dakota Jazz Orchestra: An evening with Frank Sinatra

Onstage Orange City 2011 headliner. The 18-piece big band with Sinatra voice impersonator, Steve Shininger of Omaha, recreates the landmark ’66 concert with Count Basie, “Sinatra at the Sands.”

June 23 – Blue Mountain Rhubarb Festival with PowerPlay

Blue Mountain’s festival, featuring high-energy classic rock & roll – PowerPlay – from 5-9 p.m.  Also rhubarb-inspired foods & beverages, beer garden, contributions from local artists, and contests & games for the whole family.

June 30 – Orange City Area Community Band

Outstanding regional musicians present music especially for children, directed by Carla Van Beek. Children’s art fest * ice cream social begin at 6.

July 7 – Rockin’ Jake

Trumpeter from Chicago, 9 years in Army Band, performed for two sitting presidents & at the ’88 Olympics. Back by popular request.
