June 19: Orange City’s Got Talent!

ORANGE CITY – Ready to watch your neighbors strut their stuff on stage? Come to Orange City’s Got Talent! at Orange City’s Windmill Park on Wed., June 19 at 7 PM.

This annual show promises a variety of performances from talented locals; past winners include vocal and instrumental musicians and a group of jugglers and unicyclists. This year’s show features 11 acts, among them solo, quartet, and a cappella singers, a band, a violinist, a hip-hop dancer, and a “popping animation” dancer.

Orange City’s Got Talent! is a great opportunity for people to share their talents with the community in addition to enjoying a little friendly competition. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third places: $100, $75, and $50, respectively.

Kurt Van Noord, Laura Rankin, and Sara Weber are serving as judges with Laird Edman and Lois Estell emceeing.

Committee members are Estell, Aaron Beadner, Mike Stokes, and Leanne Bonnecroy.

Estell is looking forward to the talent show, saying, “I hope Orange City is as excited to see the variety of talented performers we have again this year. I know I am!”

This free event, part of the Onstage Orange City series, is sponsored by the Orange City Area Health System and Four Way Roofing of Alton, in conjunction with the Orange City Arts Council.

Orange City’s Got Talent! will follow the Orange City customer appreciation picnic, scheduled for 5:00 to 7:00pm. Concessions will be offered. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Rain location is the Orange City town hall.
