ORANGE CITY – It’s true. Chicago’s legendary comedy theatre, Second City, is coming to northwest Iowa. Second City’s Improv All-Stars will perform at the Unity Christian Knight Center in Orange City Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7:00pm.

The show will be entirely improvised, based on audience input.

Sponsor of the evening is the Orange City Arts Council.

Founded over 50 years ago in Chicago, The Second City has become a premier training ground for the world’s best comedians, with an alumni list that reads like a who’s who of American hilarity: Tina Fey, Joan Rivers, Stephen Colbert, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, John Candy, Gilda Radner and countless others.0b4edd63-cc44-45c4-aacb-3d4b7f92d65e_2

Today there are Second City training centers in Chicago, Toronto and Los Angeles. Four touring companies perform throughout North America and abroad. And a communications division teaches improv-based skills to business professionals.

The company to perform in Orange City includes Nick Rees, a native of Sioux City… in addition to Kellen Alexander, Lisa Barber, Rachel LaForce, Chris Redd, and Christine Tawfik.Rees_Nick_06-2011_sm
